11 Timeless Spring Style Essentials & My 5 Favorite Recent Pick-Ups
Plus, breaking news from the world of style trends: Chelsea boots back?
It’s March, which means while we’re not quite out of the wintry woods yet, there’s a sense of hope in the air for the brighter, less blizzard-y days ahead. To keep the good vibes rolling, today I’m bringing you a mega three parter of a post.
Up first, a small Spring-Summer 2024 preview with 11 of the best timeless warm weather pieces that will set your spring style on the right path weeks before the season officially arrives. I tried to make a list where everything goes with everything else, and if you only got these 11 items you’d basically be set for the next 6 months. Then I wrote about something a little random but which I thought was worth sharing, which are the first pair of Chelsea boots I’ve wanted to buy in years. And rounding it out is a recap of 5 of the best menswear items I’ve picked up recently. Two of these items are all-time grail shoes that after years of circling I finally got within days of one another. Anyway, there’s a lot below, so as always, I hope you enjoy.

11 Spring Style Essentials You’ll Wear All Season Long
11. The Easygoing Button-Up: J.Crew Giant Fit Oxford Shirt
I got the blue/green stripe version of this shirt last year and it’s—and I say this with the utmost reverence— the most 90s dad-coded item in my wardrobe. It might as well come with its own Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. As such, I already know this blue and white Oxford shirt will look right at home with pleated chinos, light wash jeans, or half-tucked into a pair of shorts once the temperatures get there. Even better, the oversized fit means it won’t cling to you when things start to get sticky—just wear it open over a tank top, toss on a pair of shoes, and breeze through the steamiest of days.

10. The Lightweight Layer: Corridor NYC Mercerized Vest
Sweaters may inherently feel like fall garments, but when they’re done up in loose weave cottons and, you know, don’t have sleeves, they automatically become well-equipped for everything from pleasant spring days at the park to brisk evening strolls through the city. Layer this one from Corridor over a T-shirt for some added texture, keep a jacket on deck just in case you need it knowing this vest will look good with basically all of them, then simply add white jeans and a simple pair of loafers.
$195, available at corridornyc.com
