My 12 Favorite Sweaters for Fall + The Affordable Jacket I Can't Stop Wearing
Plus more haute garbaggio in this week's shoppable newsletter!
I’m in Connecticut right now, and it’s very much fall already. In terms of raw data, what that means is at night, the temperatures have already started dipping into the 40s (48 to be exact at the time of this writing), which is about as cold as it ever gets in the middle of January in Los Angeles. (I miss Los Angeles, and will be returning soon!) The good news for you, dear reader, is that I’m thinking a lot about knitwear and cozying the hell up in some sweaters right now. Call me Yung Apple Cider Donut for the foreseeable future.
Below I’ve rattled off my 12 favorite sweaters, plus some bonus content about sneakers I’m loving right now and a couple other things going on over here just to round out this blog and get you your money’s worth because you deserve it. (And you deserve every sweater you want this season.)
I don’t have any affiliate links set up right now, so everything you see below is stuff I actually like. I don’t make any money off linking to these brands which is another reason to become a paid subscriber!

My 12 Favorite Sweaters
Even as someone who thinks about this shit an upsetting amount, it’s hard to put my finger on exactly what makes a great sweater for fall. After all, it’s such a broad category that can span fabrics, patterns, fits, and even thicknesses, an element not even shirts really contend with. But I do know that a great sweater always makes me feel a little more dressed up and put together than when I’m not wearing one. There’s something about knit animal hair, which predates cotton terry (and the sweatshirts borne of it), that imbues most sweaters with a sense of class and tradition.
Anyway, let’s talk about some knit shit!
