My 3 Favorite Fits I'm Wearing This Summer
Breaking down each item that's ascended to the top of my rotation this season, plus details on entering the upper crust of society via my new Rolex Datejust
We’re just days away from the official start of summer, though if you’re like me, it kicked off in spirit a few weeks back via a couple backyard BBQs and elite level pool hangs with the homies. For you, summer may have started a when you had to commute work or some work-adjacent activities and felt the first back sweat of the season. Either way, with the 21st looming, it’s time to get serious about steamy weather style and lock in your game plan for the next 3 months or however long the season lingers because, you know, climate change and all that.
My basic approach is to home in on just a handful of fits that are made up of adaptable, unimpeachably good pieces that’ll work in a variety of settings all season long. I’ve found throughout the years that when I try to improvise mid season and implement a new unexpected vibe out of nowhere—or get swept away in some specific garment I decide is a seasonal must-have—it tends to lead to a lot of quizzical, drawn out looks in the mirror, which in turn leads to some seriously diminished confidence when stepping out into the world. So below I’ve laid out my strategy for looking my best despite the heat this summer, and broke down the specific pieces that I think run the gamut of from casual to slightly more formal occasions. Each item was selected to either be utilized exactly how they are in the accompanying fit pics, or be mixed and matched to your liking with anything else you’ve got kicking around your closet. Let’s get to it.
