It’s March, which means the latest designer spring fare has begun flooding our favorite retailers in preparation for the sweaty months ahead. But as I write this there is literally snow on the ground, and the reality is in the Northeast we’ve got at least another month-plus of Certified Brick Weather™ to deal with before anything lightweight or god forbid linen-injected can really become a remote possibly. (I’d say the temperature has been below 60 degrees for more than half of the Memorial Days I’ve been alive.)
That means these very same retailers are currently in panic mode trying to offload any remnants of fall-winter gear, which in turn means it’s the perfect opportunity to pick up some pieces—many of which are kind of just year-round garb as opposed to anything truly cold weather specific—right now.
Now, I think there’s also something to be said about the difference between shopping smart and being a sucker to a sale. Just because something is discounted doesn’t mean you have to buy it (I’ve made this mistake dozens of time before and am still trying to learn). That in mind, here are 10 items I’ve found from around the World Wide Web I think are actually wearable in the long run.
