Heat Is An Underrated Movie…At Least In Terms Of Fits

Heat, the 1995 crime thriller from Michael Mann, is for all intents and purposes a perfect piece of cinema. Not only was it the first time Al Pacino and Robert De Niro ever shared screen time (they were never on camera together in The Godfather Pt.2), but is a masterclass in action scenes, suspense, tragedy, and an exercise on the inescapable gravitational pull of love. People young and old love this film, but what doesn’t get discussed enough are the fits. Allow me to demonstrate what others have been missing.

Just a beautiful piece of mid-90s tailoring. Everything looks cooler with gloves, but still, that’s a handsome-ass man.

A peak lapel joint in the diner scene worn sans tie goes crazy and also shows off Neil as a man of serious business.

A tasteful oversized notch lapel version with the giant pleats is also a beautiful example of 90s style.

Potential Jawnz Aquisition Alert: Our Legacy Camion Boots

I’m man enough to admit when I’m influenced, and the big homie Larry Schlossman has been rocking the hell out of Our Legacy Camions of late which was one of the reasons I’m considering pulling the trigger. If I do buy them it will be in the brown version you see here. At first I wasn’t sure if brown would look ass with my black washed Levi’s 501s but this photo from End convinced me. Let me know in the comments if these are worth copping. Push me over the edge, basically. I’m asking you to help me rationalize a new pair of boots. Thanks!

Back from the All Black Abyss

Perhaps it has something to do with summer approaching, or maybe it’s just getting absolutely flamed on TikTok for my Balenciaga Rubber Trooper Boots (lol, I still love ‘em). But something in the last week broke my spell of wanting to wear all black Balenciaga everything. I feel back from the style abyss. Reborn. Out of the mud. I’m ready to wear blue jeans, brown boots (above), colorful shirts, patterns, etc. again. Feels good!

This doesn’t mean I won’t still rock demon time fits, but I don’t see it as a full-time endeavor anymore. It’s one part of my steez, but no longer than driving force.

Fog Rock

John Mayer has been wearing custom Fear of God blazers and mock neck shirts on stage during his Sob Rock tour and I’m here for it. Has anyone who’s been to the show seen these tees as merchandise or is it really just a Jawn Mayer ‘sclusive? Chime in below if you’ve got tasty intel.

I feel like dude could drop these on his website and sell them for $250, but maybe the Mayer fanbase isn’t ready for this kind of, shall I say, heat?
