50 Vintage Style Items You Should Buy Before I Do
Save me from buying these well-worn shirts, shorts, pants, jackets, and even suits myself.
A few weeks ago I put together a list featuring 100 of my favorite summer style items under $100. I expected people to enjoy the list (after all, who doesn’t love a good deal), but didn’t foresee just how much people (meaning you, dear reader) would be into the vintage items I sprinkled throughout, as evidenced by the fact that every single throwback find I linked to sold out within a few days. That was great news for me because, other than the obvious sustainability upside that comes with purchasing old clothes over new ones, there are few things I enjoy more than scouring the internet for the perfect pair of well-worn shorts, shoes, shirts, jackets, etc.
With that in mind, this week I took to eBay and a few other websites (namely, my favorite vintage stores) to find 50 more vintage clothing items that I myself would absolutely buy, but hope you will purchase instead if for no other reason than because it’ll keep me from adding anything to my already laughable expansive wardrobe. As always I put a real focus on classic menswear staples that will stand the test of time—stuff that looked good when it first came out, was great a decade after that, and will effortlessly slide into your wardrobe today.
Now, while there are bevy of deals to be had below—we’re talking a Brioni dress shirt for $32, pleated denim Polo Country shorts for 70 bones, and Gucci boots at less than half their OG retail price—I wasn’t so hung up on the idea of price when curating the list. Like, I’ll level with you—there’s one pair of amazing linen Banana Republic cargos from a seller in Japan that are pushing $200. But hear me out: to me, it’s 10000% better to spend a little more on a vintage piece that is perfect than to settle for something that’s “affordable” only to be left disappointed, which in turn means all you’ve done is taken ownership of something that you’ll probably never wear.
So, without further ado, here are 50 vintage style items, from tees to blazers to pants and beyond, that deserve to find a loving home…with you. Enjoy!!!

I love this made in Italy Ralph Lauren blazer I bought a few months back, but it’s a 42R and a touch too big for me. Don’t feel too bad—I found the exact same one in a 40 and got that one instead. Anyway, I’m giving it away to one paid subscriber on Sunday 6/16…so if you’re the right size and want to win a free jacket…subscribe etc.
