My New Favorite Loafers Were $47
Plus 6 other style recs I rounded up this week, including: beautiful handmade leather tote bags, my new suede boots, my favorite beanies, and more.
I don’t usually do these sorts of grab bag round-ups, but there were a bunch of style-related things I encountered this week that didn’t really have a theme, so I thought instead they might make for a good, I guess, “recommendation compilation” post. With that in mind, below is a nice mix of stuff I like that I think you might also be into, including: a great new lookbook from one of the best labels on earth, simple, beautiful leather tote bags being handmade in Brooklyn, a stunning suede chore coat, a killer pair of (also) suede boots I just bought, and the leader in the clubhouse for “shirt of the year.”
Last but not least, I broke down my new favorite loafers, which I scored on eBay for just $47. I then dropped in a few links if you want to get a similar pair. Enjoy!!!

Adam Wade Wagner Bags
I am going to make a video about artisanal label Adam Wade Wagner soon (a brand I just discovered a few weeks ago via this great post on my friend Somack’s Substack), but frankly I couldn’t wait to talk about it with all of you here. I guess first a little backstory: For the last few years, Adam Wagner, who has a background in store design and architecture, has been hand-making these leather totes and shoppers in the living room of his Brooklyn apartment. Everything starts with the best hides he can source from places like France, Italy, and Germany, which he then manipulates as little as possible to create starkly minimal, timeless pieces. They come in different sizes, almost all are black, yet the type of leather is mainly what separates each design—some are done up in full grain calf, others in what’s called culatta (horse butt), and there’s even a few slouchy suede bags (which now that I think of it, actually come in olive and plum). All are crafted with the intent to patina and age gracefully, and frankly you can’t go wrong with any—but my top picks would probably be the XL joint in smooth, vegetable tanned leather or “regular” sized tote in rugged vegetable tanned leather.
